Carmela specialises in Mat work, Reformer, Tower and Wunda chair, joint injuries and back conditions including scoliosis and misalignment. Carmela’s ethos is one of ‘intelligent exercise’. Her approach to Pilates focuses on core strength, deep toning and body conditioning. She emphasises correct alignment when exercising to reinforce good patterns of movement, and works towards a supple silhouette, poise, inner strength and equilibrium. Carmela’s Pilates can be suited to young and mature students alike, and programmes are tailor made for those seeking remedial exercise. Carmela is also a professional dancer and choreographer and has been teaching for 30 years.
